Assess loan
This page enables you to undertake a manual loan assessment. The data captured is the minimum required to return a decision, so all fields are mandatory.

The loan amount will determine which lending strategy and policy rules are used.

You can select to assess a loan or just ID check.

Please note: the loan product drop down is only visible for lenders that have configured different loan products. These lenders may be using different rule sets for different types of loan. This new functionality is being rolled out in Q4/2022. Please contact us if you’d like to find out more.

Select the loan product from the drop down box (containing a list of your Credit Union's products). The Loan amount, repayment frequency and the term (total number of repayments).

Enter the net monthly income (after any deductions for tax and national insurance). You should deduct from this value any payroll deductions you are taking from the member.

Loan purpose is not required for the decision but is helpful for future analytics.

Select from the drop down any title and complete the first and last name as given on the application. Convert any shortened names to full length, e.g. Steve becomes Steven. A date of birth is required.

It is recommended to use postcode lookup when entering the address. This provides a selection of addresses to choose from. As the decision engine uses the Postcode Address File that TransUnion utilise, you are more likely to get a match on address compared to free-typing the location.

We provide a supersearch facility which will automatically looks for addresses. In most cases you only need to enter the previous address if the applicant has lived at their current property for less than 12 months.

You can enter three addresses at no extra cost, or we will search them automatically.

Finally if this is a loan application you can select to perform an ID check and a Bank Owner check.

The 'force check' box can be checked to override an auto decline based on recency of application. Read more about automatically declining repeat applications.
